As a young horror fan, I always looked for the movies that would terrify the hell out of me. Being quite computer savvy, I would always find the best ones to watch. One of the movies I came across was The Strangers. I’m not sure what drew me to it initially, but it was likely the masks they wore as I always enjoy horror films involving masks. Movies like Scream, Friday the 13th, A Nightmare on Elm Street. After watching the movie, I was hooked.

For years I kept up with news of The Strangers 2. I watched it constantly be confirmed, cancelled, confirmed, delayed, and rinse and repeat. Finally, 2017 came around and The Strangers 2 was finally put into production. When the movie was set for a 2018 release, I fought hard for it to be shown in Australian cinemas. It had a limited release, but I was so excited to see it on the big screen.

I eagerly awaited the announcement of a third film, but after a year I realised it wasn’t happening any time soon. Now, three years later, there definitely won’t be a third movie. With Aviron Pictures going down the rabbit hole, it’s unlikely we’re ever going to see it. But I wanted to make sure that the legacy of The Strangers didn’t die with Prey at Night. So that’s why I created this site.

This is one of the first websites focusing on The Strangers, and I hope this site will follow in the footsteps of some other great fan sites like HelloSidney.com and Scream Thrilogy.
