'The Strangers Chapter 1' is coming to Seattle 03/01/24

The Strangers are taking a walk down the yellow brick road to appear at Emerald City Comic Con for another exclusive appearance. There may be a trailer in attendance, or there may not be.

In a newly shared Instagram story from Madelaine Petsch, we get a better look at our favourite three masked Strangers standing against a Seattle backdrop with the date “03/01/24”. I initially believed this to be the release date for the trailer for The Strangers: Chapter 1, but as it turns out it is the date where the film will be promoted at a yet-to-be-confirmed convention in Seattle.

I believe it could be the Emerald City Comic Con as it seems to be the only convention running in Seattle during that time period. But only time will tell. As for the trailer… we’ll have to wait for that. Whether it is released on this date or not. But I’m still hopeful it’s coming soon.

Given that the first chapter is coming in just over three months, it makes sense that we’re getting teased about further promotions — whilst also getting a closer look at the redesigned masks for the Strangers — showing just how much effort went into recreating them as accurately as possible to the original two films.

The Strangers: Chapter 1 is set for release on May 17th, 2024 – and was directed by Renny Harlin, and stars Madelaine Petsch and Froy Gutierrez as our titular characters.

Emerald City Comic Con

As of today (02/16/24) it is confirmed that there will be an appearance at Emerald City Comic Con on March 1st, with Courtney Solomon and Madelaine Petsch set to attend! It seems they’re re-doing the appearance they were supposed to make at San Diego Comic Con before it was cancelled due to the SAG-AFTRA strike.

Madelaine and Courtney will be on the Pine Stage at 5:15 PM on Friday the 1st of March where they will be having their first conversation about the trilogy! As for the trailer — there is no confirmation on when we are getting that, but Madelaine has been liking posts of Instagram hinting that the trailer may come March 1st, so who knows maybe they’ll release it at the convention!
