Lionsgate begins promoting The Strangers Trilogy

Recently I posted that The Strangers Trilogy would be getting its first look at New York Comic Con in 2023. Well, Lionsgate have officially kicked off the promotion for the trilogy and gave us a glimpse at our first Stranger.
My DM’s on Instagram were blowing up by the time I woke up. I do not live in the USA so I tend to see the news a few hours after it breaks so it was quite overwhelming when it all came through. Lionsgate Entertainment have officially got the ball rolling on promoting the trilogy by creating new social media accounts for it.

Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter, have all been given the treatment. By the looks of their first posts they were actually created at the start of the month but weren’t promoted until today when Lionsgate dropped the news officially of the first look at the trilogy coming to New York Comic Con, in which a panel is being hosted by Renny Harlin, Courtney Solomon, and some other possible Strangers.
As many would already know, the panel is being hosted on October 12th, 2023 from 3-4PM in Room 405. I’m hoping to attend the panel virtually should my arrangements work out so I can report back immediately to all of you about what happens and if any secrets about the trilogy are dropped, I’ll keep you all posted on whether this will pan out.
Along with the creation of the social media accounts also came our glimpse at the new logo for the trilogy which seems to be upholding the colour scheme of the original film which is very promising that Lionsgate have done their due diligence to remain true to the original film. Also with that release came a post promoting the NYCC panel which gives us our first look at the Man in the Mask in the trilogy. And it certainly seems like they’re staying true to the original designs for The Strangers, and hopefully we’ll get our look at Dollface and Pin-Up Girl as well very soon!
An official release date is not yet known, but we know it is coming to theatres sometime in 2024. Whether all films will be released in the same year or one year after another is not known either.
The trilogy stars Madelaine Petsch and Froy Gutierrez as the lead characters, Maya and Ryan, who set out on a cross country move together before breaking down in Oregon where they are forced to spend the night in an abandoned Airbnb where the three Strangers pay them a visit to test their every limit. Gabriel Basso, Ema Horvath (Shelly) and Rachel Shenton (Debbie) also star.
Ella Bruccoleri, Ryan Bown, Brooke Lena Johnson, Florian Clare, Ben Cartwright, Rebecka Johnston, Miles Yekinni, Janis Ahern, Stevee Davies, Brian Law, George Young, Sara Freedland, Pedro Leandro, J.R. Esposito and Richard Brake all star in supporting roles.
The entire trilogy was directed by Renny Harlin and was filmed in Bratislava in 2022.
