Lionsgate to Unveil "The Strangers: Chapter 1" at Creep I.E. Con 2024

Prepare yourself for a spine-chilling experience as Lionsgate descends upon the Inland Empire’s largest horror-themed convention – Creep I.E. Con. Held at the Ontario Convention Center in Ontario, California, from February 2nd to February 4th, 2024, this event promises to be a haven for The Strangers fans as Lionsgate is set to promote The Strangers: Chapter 1.

Creep I.E. Con has earned its reputation as a premier horror-themed convention, attracting fans from all over the Inland Empire. The convention not only offers a platform for vendors and artists but also provides a unique opportunity for fans to immerse themselves in the world of horror. This year, the convention boasts a special appearance by cast members of the iconic Scream franchise, adding another layer of excitement for attendees.

Lionsgate, known for its powerhouse presence in the film industry, is set to dominate the main vendor hall throughout the weekend. Their spotlight will be on the highly anticipated film The Strangers: Chapter 1, scheduled to hit theaters on May 17th. Horror aficionados can expect an immersive experience as Lionsgate “will be inside the main vendor hall all weekend” promoting the film.

The Strangers: Chapter 1 will be the beginning of a new Strangers Trilogy that follows Madelaine Petsch, starring as Maya, a young woman on a road trip with her fiancé, Ryan (played by Froy Gutierrez). Their idyllic getaway takes a nightmarish turn when they stop at a remote vacation rental in the woods, becoming the prey of a vicious gang of masked strangers who strike without warning or reason. Directed by Renny Harlin, this installment is the first of a trilogy based on the 2008 film The Strangers.

There is no word yet on whether any of the cast or crew from the trilogy will be appearing at the convention, or whether we’ll finally get a trailer for the first film.
