"The Strangers (2023)" - Production wraps on The Strangers trilogy

Production has wrapped on the third instalment of The Strangers 3. The film is set to be a remake of the original The Strangers film. The film stars Madeleine Petsch as Maya and Froy Gutierrez as Ryan, and is directed by A Nightmare on Elm Street 4 director, Renny Harlin. The production was filmed in Bratislava, lovakia, standing in as the Pacific Northwest city of Venus, Oregon.

The film is intended to be the beginning of a trilogy of Strangers films, and it appears that in these short two months they’ve managed to film the entire trilogy back-to-back. Meaning that Madelaine Petsch and Froy Gutierrez will carry over across all three films in the trilogy which will follow a continuous story.

The trilogy is set to follow Maya (played by Petsch) who travels cross-country with her boyfriend Ryan (played by Gutierrez) to start a new life in the Pacific Northwest. When their car breaks down in Venus, Oregon, they’re forced to spend the night in a secluded Airbnb, where they are terrorized from dusk till dawn by three masked strangers. No other plot details have been released, and we are yet to see any Behind the Scenes of the actors playing The Strangers. Ema Horvath and Gabriel Basso also star in undisclosed roles

Madelaine Petsch updated fans on the final day of production by posting a series of Behind the Scenes shots from the set, as well as announcing that the entire trilogy had wrapped.

Lionsgate Entertainment is distributing the film, produced by Vertigo Entertainment, written by Alan R. Cohen and Alan Freedland. Courtney Solomon, Mark Canton and Christopher Milburn are executive producing, with Roy Lee, Johanna Harlin, Gary Raskin and more producing. A release date is not yet known.
