Teenage girl Kinsey (Bailee Madison) finds herself being shipped off to boarding school by her parents Mike (Martin Henderson) and Cindy (Christina Hendricks), following a series of rebellious actions on her part. Joined by son/brother Luke (Lewis Pullman), the family set out on a road trip to drop Kinsey off at her new school.
The family stop overnight at a trailer parked owned by their Uncle Ken and Aunt Sheryl where they are welcome by a knock on the door from an unknown girl asking for Tamara. As they settle in for the night, they soon find themselves trapped in a psychological game of cat and mouse led by three masked strangers (Damian Maffei, Lea Enslin and Emma Bellomy).
As the parents are killed off, the orphaned teenagers must push themselves beyond their limits if they’re hoping to survive the murderous rampage by sunrise for no other reason other than “why not?”.
