The trilogy was primarily filmed in and around Bratislava, Slovakia. Filming for the cabin was primarily done on a soundstage outside Bratislava with the exterior used for scenes set outside.
Venus Town Center
The main square of Venus, Oregon, was built at the Motorcycle Ride Academy (MRA) in Pezinok, Slovakia. None of the buildings were real and the exteriors were purpose-built with blue screen being used to extend the set.
This is about half an hour from Bratislava where the rest of the production was filmed.
